Welcome to GatecontrolX! As a resident, you'll use our Telegram-based system to manage household access, invite visitors, and receive communications from your estate management. This guide will help you understand how to use all features available to you.

Getting Started with Telegram

  1. Find the bot: Search for "@Gatecontrolxtenantbot" in Telegram
  2. Start the bot: Tap "Start" to begin the setup process
  3. Verify your number: The bot will ask for your phone number (share contact)
  4. Complete registration: Follow the prompts to link your account to your residence

Adding Household Members

Register family members for facial recognition access

  1. Tap "โž• Add Household Members"
  2. Enter the person's name
  3. Upload a clear facial photo
  4. Confirm to register

  2. Select a member from the list

Inviting Visitors

Generate QR codes for guests

  1. Tap "๐ŸŽซ Invite Visitor"
  2. Choose QR code type
  3. Enter visitor's name
  4. Set duration (if applicable)

Facial Recognition Access

For successful facial registration:

  • Face should be clearly visible and well-lit
  • Neutral expression (slight smile is okay)
  • No sunglasses or hats
  • Front-facing pose
  • Avoid very dark backgrounds
  • Make sure the photo is recent

The bot will guide you through taking or uploading a suitable photo. If the photo quality isn't sufficient, you'll be asked to try again.

Visitor Management

For single-visit guests:

  1. Tap the "๐ŸŽซ Invite Visitor" button in the main menu
  2. Select "One-time QR code"
  3. Enter visitor's name
  4. The bot will generate a QR code image
  5. Forward this image to your visitor
  6. QR code expires after use at an exit gate

For visitors who need multi-day or multi-entry access:

  2. Select "Time-limited QR code"
  3. Enter visitor's name
  4. Set expiration date and time using the calendar interface
  5. The bot will generate a QR code image
  6. Forward to your visitor
  7. Code remains valid until expiration

Using QR Codes

Tell your visitors to:

  1. Save the QR code image to their phone
  2. Or send the PIN
  3. At the entrance gate, choose QR code or Pin Code
  4. Hold the QR code in front of the scanner or enter the pin
  5. Wait for the confirmation sound and green light
  6. Enter when the gate opens
  7. Scan again when leaving through an exit gate

Important QR Code Rules:

  • QR codes are linked to specific visitors and cannot be shared
  • One-time QR codes are invalidated after scanning at an exit gate
  • Time-limited codes expire automatically at the set date/time
  • QR codes work at all entrance, middle, and exit gates

Estate Communications

Estate management can send broadcasts to all residents:

  • Messages arrive directly through the Telegram bot
  • Important announcements may be marked as emergency alerts
  • You may receive polls or surveys to provide feedback

  1. Tap the survey question in Telegram
  2. Select your response from the options
  3. Your anonymous feedback will be recorded

  • Ensure screen brightness is high
